

#ERYRIWALKFEST is returning in October 2026 with a full programme of walks and adventures over the weekend.
This year we'll be based in Betws-y-Coed and walks will take place from the village and surrounding areas such as Capel Curig.
Some of the walks will take in Snowdonia Slate Trail.
Walks are led by qualified and experienced professionals who are volunteering their time. Eryri Walk Fest is run by a volunteer groups and all income will be reinvested into future events.
Walks will be added regularly so keep checking!

Join the Eryri National Park Warden for a walk full of history and stunning views.
This walk will take you from Betws-y-Coed, through Gwydyr Forest up to Capel Garmon with a visit to its 5000 year old Neolithic Burial Chamber.
The walk and the site itself offers stunnig views of the Conwy valley, Moel Siabod, the Carneddau and a glimpse of Tryfan.

Moel Siabod (872m) Circular Walk
A spectacular 4-5 hour hike from Capel Curig, 9.5km (6 miles).
The ascent of 738m involves a steady uphill hike from Capel Curig to a mountain lake, Llyn y Foel, passing through old slate mine workings.

Open up your outdoor world by learning the fundamental skills of navigation with a map and compass.
This course is suitable for complete beginners through to those who want to refresh or enhance their skills and make sticking to tourist routes through fear of getting lost a thing of the past.

Join us on a walk through the woodlands of the Gwydyr Forest to Llyn Elsi, a lake hidden in the forest above Betws y Coed.
The walk through the forest is fairly easy going, leading to a clearing with excellent views across to Moel Siabod.
